I assume you mean how much fd's are used on the host by the 'linux' binary,
and not the fd usage inside the Virtual Machine.
Use the command ulimit (type
$ help ulimit
to discover its use). For a maximum 1024 fd, use in the UML start script:
ulimit -n -S 1024
However, note that in SKAS mode UML uses one file descriptor for each opened
process, so please don't be so strict. It used to panic when the limit is
reached; test if this changed or not by running a test UML with a low fd
ulimit and creating many processes.
