Question: Can hibernate work with UMLs running?
My notebook dies a horrible death when it attempts to "stopping running
processes".... during the hibernate.
I haven't searched the list extensively for the answer, so it could be
there if anyone can point me to it.
Needless to say, hibernating all my development UMLs in mid-flight is a
very appealing prospect (no rebooting them etc. etc.).

There was no test about that reported on the MLs or to my knowledge.
However, I guess that:
a) if you use just SKAS0, it should just work as for any program. If hibernate
has no bug with normal programs it will suspend UML.
b) instead, if you use SKAS3, as you say you do, it's unlikely that the UMLs
will suspend happily without adding some code to cope with the situation.
c) but with recent UMLs, you can pass "noprocmm", getting an hybrid
SKAS3/SKAS0; it WorksForMe (tm) well and it should work as well as SKAS0 for
A project for a standalone "suspend UML" (i.e. suspend only the UML itself)
has begun and produced a proof-of-concept, but not usable for production.
Inform me of my mistakes, so I can keep imitating Homer Simpson's "Doh!".
