I've noticed that runing one unix socket per uml_switch "connection" is something on the 'futures' list. Perhaps traffic reporting on each socket is something that could be added at that time? [though I guess things like that come down to the number of people volunteering to do the work!] |

Perhaps you can use ifconfig from within each UML server? The stats for eth0 should reflect only bytes in and out of that specific machine. You could write a script that run on each server, recording the stats and writing them out to hostfs, where they'll be visible to the host.
