I decided to play around a bit with the program posted here:
First I tried running it on the old 2.4.19-5um I had running.
It used a lot of CPU, but nothing else happened.
I then upgraded my host kernel with the skas patch and upgraded
my UML to 2.4.19-30um. Interestingly, when I ran it inside this
UML it crashed the host.
Finally I patched the host kernel to be immune to this attack,
and now only the UML crashes when running the program.
I'm a bit curious about this. Is it merely a coincidence that
a TT UML protects against this attack or is it related to the
way it is implemented?
