I've put together a rather simple patch to add two features I need for my
UML job-control project:
1) 'haltonreboot' option that forces the UML instance to halt instead of
reboot, since a) sometimes reboot fails, and b) I need to be able to
invoke the kernel a different way sometimes, after a voluntary reboot.
2) A MCONSOLE_SHUTDOWN notification on the mconsole=notify: port, sent any
time the machine goes down. It's independent of the haltonreboot patch,
as it uses __uml_exitcall().
Diff is attached for the three affected files (mconsole.h,
mconsole_kern.c, and reboot.c).
