This is one for Jeff..... I am using UML (2.4.19.20) on a MDK 8.2 host, and I am trying to work with he uml in 'honeypot' mode. However, it still seems to be running like a tortoise on a reasonably fast machine. I've even tried using the 'tmpfs'aproach. Have you any suggestions? I am interested in getting vmware running inside it, and the honeypot is the only approach! Cheers. Tony. |

Yep, it'll do that. Both jail and honeypot are particularly slow, even on a fast system. > I've even tried using the 'tmpfs'aproach. Have you any suggestions? Get a faster machine :-) There isn't really too much you can do. Using skas, jail mode is automatic, although I'm not 100% sure if address space is organised the same as i386. > I am interested in getting vmware running inside it, and the honeypot is the > only approach! Why on earth do you want to run VMWare within UML? David -- David Coulson http://davidcoulson.net/ d...@vi... http://journal.davidcoulson.net/ |
