Jeff, I seem to get tracing myself more often when debugging stuff.
I am no further to figuring out, btw.
But, usually the GDB that was tracing the kernel gets hosed as well.
Is there any way short of killing the GDB to unstick it?
Killing/restarting is of course a pain, because I have to reset
the GDB PID. Probably I will change things to put GDB's pid
in a file, and have my startup script check that, but I haven't
had a lot of luck changing the gdb-program under Emacs...
