Signal delivery is healthier now. The strange kernel seg faults that a few people saw should be gone. I'd appreciate it if anyone who had that problem could make sure it's gone. There was a lot of cleanup of the signal delivery and system call code. The BogoMips calculation is now fixed. The host's ptrace is now tested early in boot, which you will see in the console messages. One downside is that UML seems not to run on 2.2 hosts for the moment. I'll be fixing that, but in the meantime, if you're running it on 2.2, you might want to skip this patch. Jeff |

powerpc still needs a bit of work to compile. While i still don't know how to fix the pt_regs problem (yet :> ) how about these small patches for some low-hanging fruit ( that's already been mentioned in the list before) sys_security.patch moves sys_security to i386's ARCH_SYSCALLS sigcontext.patch works around a compile problem ( though the right patch for that problem would be to sort out sys_pt_regs on ppc ). It's basically what Subhachandra Chandra did, but i thought i'd resubmit it along with the syscal thing. thanks ==rob -- Rob Latham Woodridge, IL USA EAE8 DE90 85BB 526F 3181 1FCF 51C4 B6CB 08CC 0897 |
