I really like the idea of user-mode-linux (and the potential
behind it), but currently it only runs on x86 and PPC, and my
preferred platforms are sparc and sparc64.
So I grabbed ptrace_test.c, added a #define ORIG_EAX 0x24,
compiled it, and ran it, and as you can probably guess, it failed
with the following output:
Parent pid = 2005
continuing: No such process
Now, I notice x86-UML needed a change before it got the ability
for ptrace to change system call numbers, and pass this,
initial test. I was hoping for some pointers as to where to
Or is it simply not worth trying on sparc/sparc64 ?
All the Best
