Jeff, you are right !
when I have:
c1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 console
in my inittab, CTRL+C does NOT work
If I replace it by:
c1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 ttys/0
CTRL+C does work while getting my output the same way I would get it
with console.
