Hello list, I'm trying to run an UML in the background, but when I start with the following command, the UML hangs while booting at "Initializing stdio console driver": host# linux ubd0=rootfs eth0=daemon,,unix,/tmp/umlswitch1 mem=64M con=none I also already tried to background the process with a "&" (with "con=pty con0=fd:0,fd:1" instead of "con=none", which works fine when not backgrounded) and ended up with the same error. Hostkernel is 2.6.7 with skas patch, UML kernel is 2.6.6. My /etc/inittab in the rootfs looks like this: [...] # TERMINALS c0:1235:respawn:/sbin/agetty 38400 console linux [...] Since I need to boot this rootfs also with the options "con=pty con0=fd:0,fd:1" I guess I got to let the inittab like that. Any help is very appreciated! Regards, Eric Content Security by MailMarshal |
