Hi, Rosario, just seeing it now. How are you? This has been recently solved;
the particular patch for this, in the splitout section, is called "load-low";
browse the changelogs of either 2.4.26-3 or 2.6.7-2 to find the link.
Also, with that, the limit without using CONFIG_HIGHMEM becomes (more or less)
750 Mega with dynamic linking and more that 2,5Gb of RAM with static linking.
