Done it.

I've been testing the stuff I wrote for a few months now, and it works well, 
even with X sessions running Gnome or KDE inside the UML - but I'm not ready 
to release it yet as my driver doesn't play nice with Jeffs' replacement 
console driver, it has issues with the SIGIO interrupt system, and it 
doesn't have any password security for the FB screen.

It is nice to see the little penguin logo come up on the console boot 
screen. :)

If someone is willing to work on better integrating the UML console driver 
into the kernel, I'd consider tidying up my code and releasing it.  I'd also 
appreciate technical thoughts on securing access to the FB screen.
