Hello, Once again to the Failed to forward error. Description of the error: From the point INIT is started, lots of errors like: Failed to forward 0 to pid 10306, errno = 9 start to appear. The strange about it is, that errno = 9 is EBADF, which can be generated if( and only i)f the descriptor is really closed. The messages keep comming while init boots. Then they stop while the rc script is run and then continue when init switches runlevels. Tehy stop again when consoles are up (two xterms; i don't initialize the stdin/out). On both consoles prompt comes up, but they don't respond to keypresses. I checked with lsof that when the errors come up, stdin is really closed. It's however open after xterms come up. From the code it looks like descriptor 0 must have been activated with activate_fd, but AFAIK poll should in that case cry too. I'll try to hunt it down, but if someone knows what may be going on, please step ahead. You will save me some time. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jan 'Bulb' Hudec <bu...@uc...> |
