When I run UML, Ethernet dissappears early in boot. I run linux 2.6.20.2 both kernels. The host has SKAS. I compiled with gcc-4.1.

Once I ran it in GDB and it crashed in lib/zlib_inflate/inflate.c:78 and the function was zlib_inflate(). I am wondering if anyone else has tried this patchlevel and if anyone has fixed it. The source seems fine. It might be a host bug, or a UML bug. (or a compiler/binutils bug.) I have Forcing Inline disabled, if that would make any difference. EBTables did the same thing. I just can't disable ZLIB compression. Please help!

BTW, the sigsegv wasn't fatal, I wonder why? (But it did cause eth0 to disappear.)
