Quite frequently I will have the software lock up when
using the Soft Lock option. The software seems to
freeze when trying to bring up the screenblanker and
displays the desktop backdrop only. The other tasks
are still running in the background and the media
muting plugin will restore the volume of the player
when the remote is within proximity. However, the only
way I can get control back is through "key-banging" &
hoping to crash the USBWiSec software or at least for
it to go into bug-reporting mode. I'm rather new to
the operation of SourceForge, so please forgive me if
I'm committing some horrible breach of netiquette. I
am using a Wireless PC Lock on an hp Compaq dc5100MT,
PIV 3G dual-core, .5G of RAM & 75G hd. I don't know
what else exactly would be helpful in tracking this
down: log files, etc. but I'll try to provide them if
asked for them. This becoming rather difficult to deal
with & I am likely going to have to reinstall the
software that came with simply to avoid the
instability issues. That being said, I would *love* to
be able to use your software as it offers a lot more
control & flexibility over the system than the
software that shipped. Thank you!

This sounds similar to my issue. Any help would be greatly
    apppreciated.

I am also having this issue. I love the Soft Lock feature,
however, I have had to stop using it due to this issue.

    Please resolve soon

I'm beginning to think that this project has withered up & died. For what it's worth, however, I'll add one thought I had about my problem with this locking up (I've seen a couple other posts over the months from people saying that they've had the same problem). Due to the pecularities of our company (poor not-for-profit), we're still using an old version of Novell on the server & hence have to use the Netware login protocols instead of the "standard" WinXP login. I'm wondering if that might not be some of the problems. Like I said, I'm not a (good) programmer & what little I do know about networking probably is not enough. Thank you.

Having the same problem here. I don't think it has much to do with networking or login method, since I'm just using Windows XP Home logging in normally.

This looks to be the same as 1514392. I agree that this effectively disables the software - the Softlock plugin is the one most likely to be used, and if it blanks the screen while crashing, then most people won't be able to use the software at all.
