anyone knows how to stop usb raptor from resseting password to default? i want to change it but after every restart of my pc it gets back to default so i wonder if anyone got this or knows how to prevent it

I have had an issue where both the USB stick that I am using and the password that I have used are not working. I have been able to access my PC by quickly closing the program via my tray before it locked my computer. Reading the documentation answers most of your questions. The program offers lot of extra ways to unlock the computer RUID, Password, Network Messaging etc. Also lot's of warning messages are inform user for potential risk, especially not experienced users.

I don't know if it's only me but -to my disappointment- I cannot use this app anymore due to the following issue: I got it "installed" mid-week (something that I wasn't expected to happen since it's 'portable' and should run as a simple executable). USB Raptor comes as a stand alone executable (portable). As you can see there is no installer, for this reason the program doesn't listed on the installed programs. To remove it from your system just delete the executable.

You can copy the entire drive contents or create an additional key. Of course the above depends on which High Security Options you have selected.

Hello, I'm not good at english sorry. I downloaded USB Raptor to improve the security of my computer. But I forgot my password and the file on the USB stick is missing. That's why I can't get into my computer and I don't know what to do, please, I need help somehow to work around it. The support email address does not work for me. Hi. I downloaded this and it is great. Does what I want it to do. One question though, when I minimize it, I can't seem to fins it again and when I try to open it again, it doesn't open properly as I cant see it anywhere on my screen or in the TaskBar. Depends on what backdoors are enabled on your system. Current version supports several backdoors. master key network command password and RUID to access locked program interface.

Thank you for your fast respond. be careful with this sort of projects. 2013 they sabotaged all people that helped developing pam_usb. If you look at the fork-list non of the forks and also the original repository did not work anymore. the did not sabotaged the project directly, they sabotaged the library (Udisks => Udisks2). not the only case, some people call them "Upstream Snakes": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgJRkNAYTC0 (so far not yet sure if only linux or also windows) https://github.com/aluzzardi/pam_usb/issues/44...

Yes this is also supported. Taken from documentation p11: *Pair unlock file with drive serial number: Enabling this option forces the encryption key to use serial number of the selected drive as well to generate the unlock.k3y. Practically this means that the k3y file generated cannot be copied to any other media and unlock the computer because USB Raptor wants to detect the same serial number used while the k3y file created. This option allows the user to create multiple keys but the k3y files cannot...

There is no need o "fix" something. You just need to close the program first! From your system tray locate USB Raptor icon, right click it and click "Exit"

The project is open source since the source code is released to sourceforce servers. Unfortunately, since the development is done to different computers with limited access to the internet (and no rights to connect to these servers) the source code is not maintained often. There is also a security concern. Thank you for your report. This is a false positive. Unfortunately not all antivirus programs made equal. As you can see on the report, this is because the program can connect and report its status to dweet.io. This is a well known service provider and the fucntion can be disabled by the user if it not needed. 67 engines are reporting the program as clean and safe, this is not coincidence.
