The hardware does support the 3.3V chips (data and clock line) but the VDD needs a voltage regulator. There is some initial code for pic24 devices in the new code branch which can be found in the github repository: https://github.com/fransschreuder/usbpicprog/tree/restructure_code/ PIC32 has not been implemented yet.
