My Usb pic programmer is not detecting any PIC device. Programmer is detected by the computer but it is not programming the other controller. I am trying to program 18f4550 with this programmer.

The programmers that are bought from the shop are all tested on the PIC18F2550 which is in fact the same device as the PIC18F4550.
Did you buy a programmer or did you create your own?
Please measure the voltages on VDD, VPP, PGC and PGD using the hardware test in the usbpicprog application.
If you bought your programmer in the shop, we will work on a solution.
