Hi, I've noticed a memory leak on the server (under linux) with the latest code from cvs. It seems to depend on the number of robots that you run, and also depends on there being more than one robot involved. The leak has varied from maybe 50kB/s to 1MB/s. At 1MB/s a server with 2GB starts thrashing in a matter of 15-20 min. It seems to be independent of the map. I've been using the p2at bots, and moast, although I think that those aren't factors. Can anyone verify this behavior? Maybe it doesn't happen under windows, but I'm guessing that it's in the platform independent script code, there seem to be plenty of opportunities for leaks there. I can't be sure when it started appearing in the code since it's the kind of thing that I may not have noticed in the past. I'm at a loss as to how to debug something like this. There's a profiling tool for unrealscript, but it seems to only run on the client and only deals with execution times and has nothing to say about memory usage. Thanks, -Thomas |
