Hello,

while compiling the SVN version of urjtag (rev. 1818) I ran into the following problem:

[...]
Making install in po
make[1]: Entering directory `/var/tmp/paludis/build/dev-util-urjtag-scm/work/urjtag-scm/urjtag/po'
/bin/sh @MKINSTALLDIRS@ /var/tmp/paludis/build/dev-util-urjtag-scm/image//usr/share
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/paludis/build/dev-util-urjtag-scm/work/urjtag-scm/urjtag/po'
libtool: install: warning: remember to run `libtool --finish /usr/lib64'
/bin/sh: @MKINSTALLDIRS@: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [install-data-yes] Error 127
make: *** [install-recursive] Error 1

I tracked this down to po/Makefile.in.in. This file is being copied while running autopoint. Because AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION is defined as 0.14.1 an old version of this file is being copied. Defining AM_GNU_GETTEXT_VERSION as 0.18 solved the problem for me.

[ Using 0.17 resulted in another compile error. ]

    According http://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/gettext/ is 0.19.1 from june 2014.

The patch from augustus 2010 is surely an improvement.
