Preparing for Driver Installation on Windows 8

Before installing the URG USB driver on Windows 8, you need to configure the system to allow installation of unsigned drivers.

Follow the steps below:

Go to the right bottom corner of the desktop and wait for the side menu to appear. When it's there click on the gear icon with the title "Settings".
Now click on the entry "More PC Settings", then click on the entry "General".
Scroll down to "Restart now" (under "Advanced startup") and click it.

In Windows 8.1 click (Update and recovery), then (Recovery), then scroll down to "Restart now" (under "Advanced startup") and click it.
Wait a bit for a menu.
Now click "Troubleshoot", then "Advanced Options" and after that click "Windows Startup Settings".
Click on "Restart" and wait for the profile to happen.
Press either the F7 key or the number 7 key from your computer keyboard.

After startup, return to the URG Driver Installation Guide and proceed with the driver installation.
