    Hi.

Can you check if you can communicate with UST-10LX without using ROS?

    For example,
Connect to telnet with the following command:

    telnet 192.168.0.10 10940

After that, can I get version information by typing VV [Enter]?

    Sorry for my late reply.

If you can not connect with ROS and can communicate with telnet,
The sensor is operating normally and may affect the ROS node side.

ROS node is developed by volunteers,
I think that it is better to have Issues on github.
    https://github.com/ros-drivers/hokuyo_node/issues

Also, There are two types of ROS nodes that operate URG.
    ・ hokuyo_node ( http://wiki.ros.org/hokuyo_node )
    ・ urg_node ( http://wiki.ros.org/urg_node )

    If possible, try another node.

I not using ros.. I using a software provide by syntouchradar. I email to the software developer they claim that the issue is from the hardware side. The only workaround is power off the sensor and power on the sensor

currently i use the scip library from http://sourceforge.net/p/urgnetwork/wiki/cs_sample_jp/ ..sometimes when start up the application , the sensor will refuse to connect . if i unplug and plug power cable. it will recover connection. I've checked the power cable and ethernet cable should be fine.

any ways to check the error code? kindly hard to capture the error in video but the error happen after several times of pc restart.. i did try reboot the sensor before pc restart.. but this method not working .. will try to add a counter to calculate how many times of restart will cause the issue.

    Hi.

    I would like some confirmation.

・ Check connection with teraterm when a problem occurs
Connect to telnet with the following command:
    telnet 192.168.0.10 10940
    typing II [Enter]

    00P
    MODL:UST-20LX;E
    LASR:OFF;7
    SCSP:2400;i
    MESM:Measuring by Sensitive Mode;A
    SBPS:Ethernet 100[Mbps];\
    TIME:1Y8L;g
STAT:sensor is working normally;k ← check this sentence

・Check if disconnect is done correctly
    When restarting PC,
check that the disconnection processing is correctly performed in the library.
If disconnection is not successful, the LAN hub may hold the connection status.
