Hello >From what I have seen of Unattended-GUI, it doesn't seem such a bad idea! Even built on Gentoo... However, there are some needed features that are missing, from the 'attended' part of your BootCD. You currently get the following; #################### # A GUI message prompt asking if you want to setup your Z-Mount. # # After pressing Yes, you will get a list of Network Share Protocols to choose from. # # After selecting SMB, # You'll get a GUI prompt to specify the Network Share # Followed by a GUI Prompt to specify the Username # Then you would see a final GUI Prompt to specify the Password. ################### There is a problem with this. As the Share I need to access will be either on a DOMAIN or a WORKGROUP. Please add an extra GUI Prompt (and functionality) that will allow for specifying of WORKGOUP or DOMAIN name. Thanks in advance, Chip D. Panarchy |

Hi Chip, you can simple specify the Domain/Workgroup in the username, for example DOMAIN\user This part (/etc/master on the boot cd around line 490) will split the user and domain name: # Z_USER contains a slash but not a backslash, so we assume it is in "Samba format" (username/DOMAIN). Convert it to DOMAIN\username. # Split Z_USER at (final) slash, reverse, and reassemble. Z_USER="${Z_USER##*/}\\${Z_USER%/*}" If it is a domain or a workgoup doesnt matter to the mount of the share. Does this answer fit to your needs? greetings mario Chip Panarchy schrieb: > Hello > >>From what I have seen of Unattended-GUI, it doesn't seem such a bad idea! > > Even built on Gentoo... > > However, there are some needed features that are missing, from the > 'attended' part of your BootCD. > > You currently get the following; > > #################### > # A GUI message prompt asking if you want to setup your Z-Mount. > # > # After pressing Yes, you will get a list of Network Share Protocols > to choose from. > # > # After selecting SMB, > # You'll get a GUI prompt to specify the Network Share > # Followed by a GUI Prompt to specify the Username > # Then you would see a final GUI Prompt to specify the Password. > ################### > > There is a problem with this. > > As the Share I need to access will be either on a DOMAIN or a WORKGROUP. > > Please add an extra GUI Prompt (and functionality) that will allow for > specifying of WORKGOUP or DOMAIN name. > > Thanks in advance, > > Chip D.
