WHAT'S THIS

This is the Russian translation add-on for "The Ur-Quan Masters" game.

INSTALLING

If you downloaded the source repository, you will have to build the addon first:

make addon

Then you can either install it system-wide to /usr/share/games/uqm/content/addons:

make install

(you can override the /usr prefix with e.g. make install PREFIX=/usr/local)
or just manually copy the addon to UQM addon folder in your home directory, usually ~/.uqm/content/addons/.

After you did that, run

uqm --addon russian

(or change command-line options in /etc/uqm.conf if you have one, or modify /usr/share/applications/uqm.desktop if you use one).

The game should find the addon and use it.

Note that sometimes the addon may conflict with old versions of other addons. If you see the translated logo, but the game is not translated, make sure you're using latest versions of all add-ons. Try disabling them by one or re-order the --addon options on command line to find out what's happening.

PACKAGING

The addon already contains the neccessary files for building a Debian package. For simple cases, running dpkg-buildpackage -b is enough.
