I finally tracked down the windows internet explorer sound bug (I think). One of the HTTP headers wasn't set, and windows wanted it to be (but didn't want to say so). The same bug was probably affecting video. It is going now on http://upstage.org.nz:8083 at for all the windows's I can get my hands on. You have to log in as 'z'. I'll copy it across once it has been tested a bit. douglas |

Upstage was only using 100 file names for the speech mp3s, and not forgetting the old ones properly. You clocked it, and started getting the sounds I was testing with. I've increased it to 500, and am working on a proper fix. It's supposed to forget every utterance after a couple of minutes. douglas |

Douglas thank you so much! Logged on at 8082 and voila! voices are heard on Upstage for PC users. tAlso, this list of ftps for PCs is very useful - I've tested about 5 different ones already, none from this, and (some did nasty things to my laptop) Clearly we need to find something that - like Occulus for MACs,- works with most cams and most pc ORs. . Isn''t there anyone else on this list using a PC - what about medialab - anyone there willing to try some from the list below? I am persevering a bit longer with Tincam , since my setup and cam is pretty standard issue, - and have emailed the programmerr/developer about our quest.! Karla I've emailed Tincam At 22:46 07/03/2004, you wrote: >K wrote: >>When can we have sound on 8082? > >um... now!.
