Necessity is the mother of invention. Wise words.
As a developer that works daily in Windows, MacOSX and FreeBSD; it is painfully obvious that a unified source ports system is needed.

It is time to go all the way, instead of Cygwin, Fink, MacPorts, pkgsrc, portage ...etc. Take the mother of them all and spread it to all platforms.

I urge anyone that feels the same to get involved and post your thoughts on the forum.
