I encountered the same problem when browsing large media collections : the
maxiumum size of UPnP messages set in the library is exceeded (default is 16KB,
maximum settable is 32 KB, which might be insufficient when browsing large A/V
collections).

I had to patch the upnp library : see my "djmount" project at :

This project allows to mount as a Linux filesystem the content of MediaServer
devices compatible with the UPnP AV protocol. It has been tested ok with the
TwonkyVision UPnP Music Server.

This is alpha code. It includes a patched libupnp.
