We are pleased to announce that the final open source release of the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) Software Development Kit (SDK) Version 1.0.0 for Linux is now available for download at http://upnp.sourceforge.net. See the README file included in upnpsdk-1.0.0.tar.gz for details about this release. Please provide comments and feedback regarding the UPnP SDK for Linux on the UPnP-SDK-discuss mailing list (http://lists.sourceforge.net/mailman/listinfo/upnp-sdk-discuss). This is not the end of the road for the UPnP SDK for Linux. Although Intel will continue to be involved, we invite all of you to sign up as developers for the project and contribute your additions and fixes. The bug tracking database has been enabled so issues can be logged and assigned to developers. We will also be setting up the CVS archives to make participation easier. The patch manager on Source Forge has also enabled so that you can submit patches there. We will continue to integrate these patches and make periodic releases. Major changes since the 0.9.1 release are: * The UPnP library can now modify the baseURL of the description documents automatically based on the dynamic IP address and port number. See UpnpRegisterRootDevice2() for more details. * The DOM and tools API are now documented. * Many compile time configuration options have been included. See the README for details. * Numerous bug fixes. Thank you for your interest in and support of UPnP technology. The Intel UPnP SDK for Linux Team up...@in... |
