I'm trying to use your patch utility to apply a .diff file to update a php application called WebCalendar (see sourceforge.net/projects/webcalendar)
When I try to apply the patch using patch -i wc.dif and I get "unexpected end of hunk at line 31. I tried various other options without success.
I contacted the author of this diff file, and he said he receives the same erro when using your utility, however the version of patch which comes with Linux works fine. He can't figure out the reason for this.
Can you help? Is this a known problem with the patch utility? ....thanks....brian

First, I like the idea of the native library, it is very nice compared to the trouble of installing cygwin.
On the other hand, I am having the same problem trying to apply a patch to Mantis Bugtracker:
D:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mantisbt>patch -i patch1.txt
patching file `csv_export.php'
Assertion failed: hunk, file patch.c, line 321
