#32 Nebulas

Support for nebulas (multi-parsec conglormerations of
dust and gas) would add visual impact and realism to
the game.

In addition, standard science-fiction conventions
could be used to allow nebulas to affect game play --
e.g. reduced scanner efficiency, reduced movement,
and/or reduced shield efficiency.

An additional though I've always had concerning nebulas.
Nebulas can hide systems from the outside. There could be
unknown systems inside or behind a nebula. You would have
to go inside the nebula or around it to see these hidden
systems.
