#61 Disk thrashing on Win98

Running ver 0.15 on Win98. After x moves (about 3
colonies created), the program begins to slow down and
disk thrashing starts. With each successive move of
colonization or exploration, the thrashing increases
and the data display screens (station list, planet
list, &c) take longer to show up.

    I'm leaving this bug open. I suspect a memory leak that is
    eating resources as the game progresses. Yes, there can be
    memory leaks in Java.

    Could this be related to problem 4201432 with the garbage
    collection reported on Sun's site?
