I've looked into it - should be trivial, no problem.

This is slightly more work, as currently one main name is used for
search, and this will require to change the internal API a bit to also
provide authN option aliases from authenticator to the login screen, but
doesn't seem very hard.
I'll open tickets for both, seems that together with few other requests
the next update will be mostly focusing on SAML functionality.
