I think that the list component is not a good approach - would occupy a 
lot of space always, would be quite ugly for couple of say 3-4 elements 
enums on reg screen.

I've turned on search/filtering - indeed it was not enabled. So now you 
will be able to type to filter the selection in the usual way.
