Great.

Well, While the CPU-saving option is experimental it would be nice to see
how it handles streams with very high vertical resolution, if you could
find one of those? Particularly with regard to dropped frames. Also if yo=
u
have access to a 2.4 series kernel and can test the RTC cpu-saving option
and see what impact it has before versus after.
On high X server resolutions, >=3D 1280x1024x24 there are dropped frames
when subtitles are changed or cleared on full screen playback. I checked
this out and it is due to the unscaled X11overlay redrawing the colorkey
over the full window, and a leftover from the Xv plugin, so it is not due
to the xxmc overlay implementation. I will have to find a way to disable
this redrawing when it is not needed, but that is a later problem.
A guy at ViaArena has reported two dvd's not working, and Xine crashing
and also an Xvid decoded stream that refused to play, but I didn't get an=
y
followups from him, so I'm not sure what has happened really. The plugin
should be able to handle all non-mpeg2 and non-mpeg1 formats in software,
so if you have a collection of those it would be nice to hear that it
works.
