It's the first thing I tried when I started messing with this laptop. It sort of works, but you won't be able to use your PCMCIA cards and I think the USB ports also get disabled. Again, the only thing the IRQ does for you in DRM is allow for sync-on-vblank, so it's not a critical feature and has no impact whatsoever on performance. Besides, if you're not enabling DRI, it's completely useless. > I am still without DRI at the moment, though, but I'll poke at that later. > (Whenever I tried to install the DRI modules -- e.g. unichrome_dri.so > or via_dri.so from unichrome.sf.net -- I get an error about missing > unichrome_driModuleInit or something. You should use the libraries from the opensource_040701.tgz archive from the Unichrome Project. I'm using xorg also and those libraries work with it. I am still trying to get a log of the xorg crash when I boot with vga=normal. Unfortunately, it's kind of hard to do that, as the machine locks up hard and the screen is black. If I do manage to get a log, I'll post it to the list. Phil DeBecker |
