unichrome on a k9mm-v mobo

Dear developers,
I'm running fedora 8 @64bits on a K9MM-V motherboard with a K8M800 host bridge and a Via S3 Unichrome Pro Vga adapter. I cannot get X to start with the unichrome driver. According to the Xorg.log, X recognizes the VT3108 IGP and K8M800 bridge but it finds some unknown cards (1462|7312). I'm attaching a tar.bz2 with the Xorg.log and output of dmesg. Please let me know it you need any other info that may help find the problem.
Many thanks in advance.

Please try to comment out the memset in VIAScreenInit in via_driver.c and run the XServer with -logverbose 7, and then please attach the next log.
Thanks,

I've commented out the memset line and rerun X with logverbose 8, I'm attaching the Xorg.log file. The monitor didn't work either, and the text mode seemed screwed.
Thanks.
