Sounds interesting but how do i really replace the files and make it work?

I dont understand much about linux and much less about xml...

Shouldn't it come with intalation instructions?

    thanks in advance, Frederico Afonso

Well, the issue is that you can't replace the files.  What the project aims to do is to allow you to basically have two copies of the same configuration file, one in XML (which is the one you edit), and one in the proprietary format.

The project is oriented towards system administrators who want to be able to relegate some of their tasks.  Editing the XML files will be an easier task than modifying the original files.  If you are a home user, all of this is probably irrelevant to you, though.

You're right, it should come with installation instructions, as well as utilities to build the configuration files from the XML files on the fly at system startup.  The project is in a fledgling stage right now, which is why there aren't those things.

We welcome anyone providing tools for doing those things.  :)
