rebuilding from the ground up

starting from scratch is a daunting task. you realize the cvs rm message alone was 350kb. now you have to replace all of that code. but it's what you do.

lurene, juli, and myself have been slowly getting things on track. a generous gift from dugsong gets us on track for asynchronous dns. design and requirements docs are taking shape. code is being written.

keep an eye out, this just may be pulled off.

cvs rm *

"bye bye" was the checkin message as we wiped bind 9.2 from our tree and decided to start fresh. watch for design goals and such to be stated and code to start trickling in. lurene evidently has some she should be submitting very soon.

threaded

one of the things we didn't initially take advantage of was thread support in bind9. rick worked like a banshee and did a bunch of updates to the libraries, including enabling thread support. the migration to BSD makefiles also gives us shared and profiled libs in addition to the static libs.

we're almost off and running.

getting off the ground

hi. unbound is slowly getting off the ground. we've got code uploaded and we're still trimming it and planning our roadmap. at this time it works and is pretty nice, but we want it leaner and meaner. keep checking back. feel free to grab the source tree if you want. note that its openbsd specific at this point.
