UMTSmon fails to start with the message (see log attached):

*** umtsmon version 0.9 closed due to an unrecoverable program error.
*** Please e-mail all of the above output to umtsmon-develop@lists.sourceforge.net,
*** Or go to the umtsmon website and file a bug.

I'm using Kubuntu 9.10, not sure what my card is. I've got a Dell Latitiude e6400, which has got a built-in card. How can I find out the model?

I'm willing to provide more information, if it helps. Any ideas how to make umtsmon work on my machine would be appriciated :-)

umtsmon is a dead project - it won't see any code updates anymore.
There are several other (better) alternatives for Linux now, that integrate a lot better with the desktop environments: NetworkManager/ModemManager, ConnMan and oFono.
