Hello, just to let you know that we have finally completed the first beta. It is available by checking out the umlmodeller module in the CVS. It still needs alot of work but we could do with some bug reports.
Thanks,
Dan.
It has been a long time since my last update. You to let you know what we are upto:
1. We have decided to XSLT to translate our files to source code and also SVG.
2. We have a basic interface up and running created using Glade-2 and gtkmm. This allows the user to place Classes on a canvas.
Things are happening fast and with about a month left we are trying to get as much done as possible. Anyway, back to work!
Hello, we finally have our first commit into the CVS. It's not much, just a skeleton. We are also deciding on what XML schema to use for our file format or possibly designing our own. Instead of saving directly to SVG we have decided to save to XML and then optionally output to SVG. This is make things a little more organised, as it was we were considering hijacking the SVG file with our Class element tags. Anyway, that's all for now.
Today we start work on the project. You can find the project documentation at http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~hypnos/files/projects/umlmodeller/doc/ this includes the inital project proposal, final functional specification and the project schedule.
Just a quick entry to let you know that the functional specification is at the first draft stage and will be available soon.
Hi all,
You can find the intermediate functional specification available for this project at here http://www.redbrick.dcu.ie/~hypnos/files/misc/umlmodeller.pdf.
Well, according to the project schedule the functionl spec should be finished by today. Unfortunately, due to procrastination and the lack of motivation (I use the latter words like they are justification) very little work has been done on it since the 29th of December.
Also, I did not not schedule exam study time and the actual examination time into the schedule. I did think about it but I cannot recall my reason for not factoring it in. I have modified the schedule and it is now available in the docs section.
Just a quick note to say that I have started the functional specification.
An intermediate schedule has been now been establised and will confirmed soon.
