#3 'control start' seg faults

No

I just completed (what i think is) a successful install
of UMLBuilder on a RH-7.2 box, installing RH-7.2 within
UML.

The only twist is that i don't want any networking at all.

Immediately after the GUI install completed, i tried to
run 'control start' and it seg faulted. I have no idea
why, since there isn't any debugging info to go on.

control is just a shell script. Run it with bash -x to see
what is being executed at the time of segfault. Can
you please include the complete output.

I'm wondering if this is being caused by funky networking.
Is there any simple way to not have networking turned on
within UML? The box where this is running gets its IP via
DHCP, so i don't have any simple way to specify an IP for
the UML instance. Thanks for your help!

The fault is happening in UML itself. Common problems with
    UML are listed at http://user-mode-
linux.sourceforge.net/faq.html Note that it also includes
a section showing how to use NAT. You can give your UML
session a private IP address and use NAT to get to the outside
    world.

Information on how to debug UML is at http://user-mode-
    linux.sourceforge.net/trouble.html

Fault is with UML itself, not UML Builder. Closing.
