#2 USB microphone not working

I tried using a Logitech USB Headset on my macbook, since it does not have a mic input. I can select the device in the settings menu but not the input it should use. (there's nothing to choose from, not even a default value).

also... instead of playing it on the right device it plays the sound through the default soundcard, not the usb device
