Hi,

attached is a little patch to enable mouse buttons 4
and 5 (thumb buttons) which newer mice have.

    Thanks for the patch, but I have some questions about it:
    SDL_mouse.h says:
    Button 4: Mouse wheel up (may also be a real button)
    Button 5: Mouse wheel down (may also be a real button)
    and then:
    #define SDL_BUTTON_WHEELUP 4
    #define SDL_BUTTON_WHEELDOWN 5

    I don't have a 5 button mouse, and I have to apologize for
    my ignorance:
    Are there any mice out there with 5 buttons and a wheel? How
    does SDL
    deal with them?

    Hi,
    My mouse does have a wheel and 5 buttons. (all mice from the
    logitech MX series have a wheel and 5 buttons)
    Mouse Button 4 and 5 (thumb buttons) are in fact recognised
    as button 6 & 7.

    Hi there, and thanks.
    I'll send this to Steve for extra testing now. I assume
    your testing is fine with 5 buttons + the wheel, all
    mappable through the menu and functional within
    the game?

    Hi Julien:
    I applied your patch to the cvs.
    Let's see if it behaves for everyone.

    Thank you very much.
