    Hi,
    I dug out my old Hexen II disc and discovered it's apparently the matrox oem disc. I'm trying to run the patcher and I can't seem to get it to work.

    Hexen II 1.11 pak patch / Hammer of Thyrion (uHexen2) 1.5.9
    Xdelta v3.0.0 backend (C) 2007-2011 by Joshua MacDonald
    File data1/pak0.pak :
    ... looks like Continent of Blackmarsh (m3D, v1.08)
    ... Please report this pak to the uHexen2 developers!
    ... Error: not supported by h2patch!

    Is there something I need to do in order to get this version of the game running? There's no pak1.pak file, only pak0 and pak2.

    Thanks!

    Finally, someone with a Matrox OEM 1.08 version.

    Can you compress and send me at least those files, i.e. pak0.pak, pak2.pak, progs.dat, progs2.dat, OR the the zip of all your installation directory please?

    You can contact me at my private email (sezeroz AT gmail DOT com)

    Sure thing, I'll send that along then.

    OK, working on it now. Hopefully I'll get a solution today or tomorrow.

    What operating system are you running on? (So that I can give you an updated patch program.)

    Thanks! I was trying the linux version since I'm on Kubuntu right now.

    cd into your patchdat/data1/ directory, and unzip the attached dat.zip
    in there.

    Assuming you are running on x86_64, run the attached new h2patch build
    (h2patch-new.zip) from the root of your uhexen2 installation.

    If the prebuilt binary somehow doesn't work for you:
    - Apply the attached patch (oem.patch) to uhexen2 source: (can be
    applied to both git or the release hexen2source-1.5.9):
    cd uhexen2source && patch -p1< oem.patch
    - And compile h2patch: cd h2patch && make
    - And use that newly built h2patch.

    Tell me whether it works for you, so that I can push the changes to git
    repository.

    P.S.: Can I use your name as it appears here when giving you credit?

    The new patch binary works great and I'm able to play the game, thanks!

    The changes are in git repository now, and will be part of the next 1.5.10 release, whenever that happens.

    Thanks again!
