Is there a way to implant hi-res textures?
To be more precise - I'm talking about the ones made for UQE Hexen.
If not , will it be featured in future versions?
External textures support is a frequently requested feature, but I haven't done anything to add such support yet. Planning for newer versions, sure, but no ETA.
Ralph Engels had kindly provided a patch against uhexen2-1.5.4 once, but I need to play with the code for it to work with latest versions of uhexen2 and I also need to make it portable, i.e. not only for windows but for all operating systems/architectures we are supporting. If you want to look at his own version, go to http://code.google.com/p/realm/ and browse his downloads (despite it lists as 1.5.5, the version he provides is not uhexen2 1.5.5 but just 1.5.4+external textures+some other small stuff..)
Yes I have that specific release - I just don't how to compile that , and even if I did it's still not compatible with 1.5.6 :(.
Thanks for replying.
He has a precompiled (binary) version, so you shouldn't need to
compile by yourself:
(and of course it doesn't have the fixes and new features that went into
1.5.5 and 1.5.6..)
