Hi, and thanks for creating such a great source port! You guys rock.
The PoP soundtrack is giving me trouble: I've put all the MP3s into "/portals/music" and named them according to the MIDI filenames (tulku1.mp3 - tulku10.mp3), "music type" is set to "all codecs". Yet the game always loads up the MIDI soundtrack. I tried converting the MP3s into OGGs, but that didn't solve the problem.
The main game soundtrack (located in "/data1/music") works fine.

Strange. What's even more strange: When I move the music folder from data1 to portals (and rename the files) and then start the game with "-portals" or "-h2mp", the game gives me the same message. However, I know the files work, because they play fine when I start the main game.

I can not reproduce the issue on my 64-bit windows7. To be
sure, I tested with a fresh and bare installation like:
Dowloaded hexen2-1.5.7-win64.zip from here, extracted it,
copied the pak files from the cdroms, copied your tulku7.mp3
under portals\music\, ran "glh2.exe -portals" and then ran
"music tulku7.mp3" from the game console. It played it just
fine.

Instead of adding "-portals" to a shortcut, I've created a batch file that executes "glh2.exe -portals". Now I can play the MP3s without problems. However, when I start a new game, the soundtrack from the main game is played, and not the PoP soundtrack.
This is driving me nuts... I'm sure the problem is caused on my side, though.
Edit: I've just created a fresh installation, still no luck.

That's normal: The initial castle levels of PoP actually uses the midis from the original game. When you reach the tibet levels, then it will play the tulku?? music.

Hi!
what I must change to restore original music sequence to play music from PoP only (in first levels)? On the original PoP CD there is no music from "previous" Hexen II. So I want to have tulku music in first castle levels too.
Thanks

Run the game with -portals and from the game console run:
music tulku7.mp3
Does it play it properly?

What operating system are you running on?
As a last resort, send me (sezeroz[at]gmail[dot]com) that tulku7.mp3 file and I'll try to reproduce your issue myself.
I'm using the latest Windows 7 64bit binary.
Here's a link to the MP3: http://uploaded.net/file/tp5cmei6

Looks like I've solved half of the problem:
Instead of adding "-portals" to a shortcut, I've created a batch file that executes "glh2.exe -portals". Now I can play the MP3s without problems. However, when I start a new game, the soundtrack from the main game is played, and not the PoP soundtrack.

Oh, I didn't know that! Thanks for the heads up, haha... I've just loaded "tibet1" and the game started to play "tulku10.mp3" - finally!
Thank you for your help!

Thanks
For that, go into your portals/music directory and make
copies of your tulku music files like the following:
tulku7 -> casa1
tulku1 -> casa2
tulku4 -> casa3
tulku2 -> casa4
tulku9 -> casb1
Thanks very much!
