UFDB / News: Recent posts

I spent most of my summer on planning and implementing the basic structure of UFDB.

Since the structure and featureset is almost fully determined, you should take a look at the COMPARISON-CHART (PDF):

As you can see we registered UFDB successfully at SourceForge.
Right now there is nothing released yet. Well, we are still at planning.
The next things which I will do, is to release the current plannings and ideas of UFDB, so we all get a basic point of reference where we can start from. Of course all of you will have lot's of chances to influence the final design and layout of UFDB.

Nevertheless, two things are definite:
1) It's first implementation will be coded in Java
2) It will use a native-XML database (most likely Apache Xindiche - (a.k.a. dbxml-core)... read more
