Jörg-Micha,
I got the autopromote to work on both Unix and Linux. Currently I have the
archive resting on Linux box and it will promote to both Unix and Linux
databases correctly. 

Pardon me if I ask you stuff that you already checked. Did you set the env
UDFPROMOTE=1 or 2? Is the /UDF/TOOLS/bin/Server job running? Did you check
the archive database that the data is really in it? Did you check the local
database that the data you want to promote is not already in it? I used 

dBList HENA.HD.DBF

to check the archive. and dBAsk to check the local database.

Are the files that you are using good? I had a bad, old file that I was
trying to promote and it would plot it with the TclTK software but it
wouldn't work with the Archive.
