Ubuwiki Offline, a South African, open-source software package geared towards the Ubuntu operating system, has been launched. The release of the package, “Ubuwiki for Africa”
coincided with Software Freedom day (20-09-2008). Software Freedom is celebrated around the world as a result of Richard Stallman and the Free Software Foundation’s call for free software: "When we call software “free,” we mean that it respects the users' essential freedoms: the freedom to run it, to study and change it, and to redistribute copies with or without changes.
